We had such a wonderful experience when we stopped for a late dinner last night. We live in Northern Ky and drove down to go thru the Lights under Louisville in Mega Caverns. The kitchen manager, Chris, went out of his way to welcome us as 1st time visitors. He visited everybody in the restaurant and made them feel super welcome. Can't say enough good thing about Chris other than he definitely deserves a raise and we will definitely be back. Merry Christmas!!!
Good barbecue here. The offerings are stock BBQ house offerings and the meats are cooked so anyone can eat it. They have three sauces. Not too many but there is one for you. :) I honestly cannot think of a time when I ordered bad at Mark's. It's just good eats. I have eaten here solo and with company. Also, they will treat you on your birthday.
Family favorite. We go here fairly often. Reasonably priced, well made BBQ. They have a lot of great food to offer, but my go-to favorite is the simple yet delicious BBQ Pork sandwich basket with seasoned fries and a sweet tea. Their sweet tea is super sweet so if you're not into that sort of thing, try asking for half sweet, half unsweetened. It's still sweet enough, in my opinion.
If you haven't been to Mark's in Louisville, it's definitely worth trying it. Really good BBQ chicken and pork chops. The ribs, however, are outstanding! We've never had s bad meal here have been several times. Service is almost always superior and the atmosphere is Kentucky country, right down to the plastic checkered tablecloths. A tad pricey for BBQ, hence only 4 stars. Tip: always ask for extra napkins to fully enjoy the fare!
Great food & good prices. The brisket is my favorite but their fish is delicious. Our serverJamie was very accommodating and efficient. She really took care of us.
